IMARA WOMEN'S CENTRE

The Imara Women’s Centre (IWC) is a Forum for Women in Democracy (FOWODE) initiative to anchor our work on the advancement of women’s rights. The IWC is a space for women’s independent organizing and a practical base from which to advance the struggle for gender equality.

We will recognize you in various ways for your contribution.

  • Features on IWC wall of fame.
  • Have a space at the centre named after you.
  • Have your name engraved on the majestic Abazira Walkway to the entrance of IWC.
  • Every brick owner shall be recgnized in The Imara Women’s Center Golden Owner’s Book.

How can you contribute?

You can contribute in various ways:

  • Buy at least one Brick at Shs. 5000 ($2).
  • Contribute towards a space in the IWC eg. the library, museum, art gallery, dance studio, lactation room, nursery e.t.c.
  • An in-kind gift e.g construction material and equipment.
  • Be a volunteer for the Imara Women’s Centre.
