Aramanzan has extensive gender practice experience of 28 years in academia, development, research and programming across over 20 countries. He has served as an International Gender Consultant with UNFPA, UNDP, UN Women, COMESA, African Union, IGAD, the Commonwealth and the Government of Namibia where he has offered support on gender analysis and equity.
As a Lecturer at the School of Women and Gender Studies – Makerere University, he founded and headed the Gender and ICT programme. He holds a PhD in Gender Studies, a Master of Arts in Women Studies, a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Education – with Economics and History. Aramanzan is the current Senior Gender Technical Advisor at CARE International in Uganda.
