TECHNICAL EXPERT (CONSULTANT) TO CONDUCT A GENDER AUDIT OF THE PARISH DEVELOPMENT MODEL (PDM)

Forum for Women in Democracy (FOWODE) is a non-partisan feminist organization established in 1995 with the vision “a just and fair society where, in all spheres, public and private, women and men in their diversities share equally in decision making”. FOWODE has continued to be a pace setter in promoting gender equality and women’s leadership in the country. Whereas we primarily focus on women’s issues, FOWODE also seeks gender equality and thus involves men in all aspects of her work.

FOWODE is currently implementing the Youth Action for Transformative Accountability (YATA) Project with support from the European Union (EU). The project seeks to harness young people’s collective voice and power to challenge gender inequalities and demand systemic change from duty bearers. It focuses on strengthening youth organizing around economic enterprises to enhance agency, amplify voice, and build economic resilience.

The project is being implemented in the Acholi sub-region, specifically in Amuru, Gulu, and Omoro districts, with the goal of promoting youth-centered, accountable, and transformative governance.

Application process and timeline
We invite interested individuals to submit the following application documents:

      • Expression of interest outlining how the consultant meets the selection criteria and their understanding of the ToR.
      • A technical proposal outlining the approach and methodology for conducting the tracking study.
      • A financial proposal detailing consultant (s) itemized fees, data collection and administrative costs.
      • Consultant(s)’ CVs that demonstrate relevant experience and qualifications of the
        individual/team that will undertake the study.
      • Recent relevant experience in quantitative and qualitative methodologies while working with local communities and non- government agencies. (Kindly include clients’ contacts)
